News:
The game is currently undergoing play-testing and peer review on Xbox Live!
Goal:
Our goal is to make a fast-paced battle game for local multiplayer, and sell it on Xbox Live.
Reason:
Local multiplayer is becoming less and less of an option in today’s Xbox games. One of the things Nintendo has always done right is make their systems and games party-oriented. One of the reasons games like Halo took off is because of the four player local multiplayer. Now with Xbox live, games are only focusing on internet based multiplayer, making it hard for friends to get together and have fun. Xbox Arcade creates an easy environment for developers like us to make such games and distribute them online. Using the arcade marketplace, we will not only get our names out there, but Michigan Tech’s Husky Game Development Enterprise’s as well.
The Game
Arcane Brawlers is a fast-pasted action game where up to four players are pitted against each other in an arena-style battle. Players control wizards who cast magical spells at one another in order to kill their opponents and win the battle. Players have access to over 20 different spells, all which can be chained together for wild effects and insane battles. The pace is quick and the brawl intense; do you have what it takes to become the ultimate magician?
